Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know, answered honestly
The Bevalcursus
Will my health insurer reimburse the Bevalcursus?
It may. This depends on your policy and your (supplementary) Dutch health insurance. Check your policy conditions or contact your health insurer. You can read more about it in my blog article 'Vergoeding zwangerschapscursus 2026' (in Dutch).
How long do I have access to the course?
You have 9 months' access to all course materials, from the moment you buy it.
When is the best time to start?
Start as early as you can, ideally at the beginning of your second trimester. You can also join later in your pregnancy.
Is the course also suitable if this isn't my first birth?
Yes. The course covers both natural processes and all medical interventions and is suitable for first-time and experienced mothers alike. Returning students can email for 25% off.
What language is the course in?
The course is entirely in Dutch and has Dutch subtitles.
Can I cancel or return the course?
No. The online course is digital content that is available immediately after purchase. When you check out (in the external learning environment), you tick to agree to immediate delivery and thereby waive your right of withdrawal.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. You pay for the Bevalcursus in the external learning environment, where you can pay in 3 instalments.
Orders from the shop
What are the shipping costs and how quickly will my order arrive?
Shipping costs €6.99 within the Netherlands and €10.99 to Belgium (sent as registered mail) or Germany. To the other EU countries it is €14.99. Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €100.00; to all other EU countries from €150.00. I pack your order myself and send it within 3–4 working days with PostNL, always with Track & Trace.
Can I return my order?
You can cancel physical products up to 14 days after receiving them and then return them within 14 days. Exceptions: tea and teething rings whose seal has been broken after delivery (for hygiene reasons) and a personalised Partusboek. You can simply withdraw from the purchase of the Sluitlaken. If you have used it more than necessary to assess it, you pay for the loss in value. That can be as much as the full price, so in practice a used Sluitlaken will not be refunded. Return costs are at your own expense.
How do I cancel or withdraw from my order?
You have 14 days to change your mind after receiving your order. The quickest way to withdraw is online, with the withdrawal function: enter your name, order number and email address and confirm. You then automatically receive a confirmation with the date and time of your withdrawal. Prefer to use the model form or send an email? That's possible too.
How can I pay?
Payments in the webshop are handled by the payment provider Mollie. You enter your payment details directly in Mollie's payment environment; I don't store them myself. Depending on your country and your order, you can pay with methods including iDEAL / Wero, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bancontact and Klarna.
Can I drink the Borstvoedingsthee (breastfeeding tea) during pregnancy?
No, the Borstvoedingsthee must not be used during pregnancy. If in doubt, always consult a medical professional.
The quality mark and the reviews
What does the WebwinkelKeur quality mark mean?
My webshop is a member of WebwinkelKeur, an independent quality mark for webshops. Anyone who leaves a review there does so with the quality mark, not with me. WebwinkelKeur shows an average of 9.5 out of 10 across 201 reviews. The quality mark also counts other review platforms, so that score also covers reviews that are not on this website. As of 17 October 2026.
Are the reviews on this site real?
Yes. This site has 286 reviews, all real reviews from women who took the course or ordered something from the shop. 47 of them came in through WebwinkelKeur, which checks for every review that there is a real order behind it; on the reviews page (in Dutch) you can recognise them by the stars with the line “Bestelling gecontroleerd door WebwinkelKeur” (order verified by WebwinkelKeur). The other reviews came to me directly, from students and customers themselves.
